Points Program

Points will be awarded when competing at Coonhound Events sponsored by the Kentucky Houndsmen Association throughout the year.

The owner and handler must be a KHA member upon entry of their initial event to be eligible to gain points.

Dog or Youth handler must compete in and complete a minimum of three separate KHA events to be eligible for the award. A scratch or withdraw or a bench show dismissal will not be considered a complete event.

Each day of a two-day event is considered a separate event.

Youth handlers must be age 17 or under to be eligible to compete in any or all events for that calendar year.

Youth handlers may or may not compete with same hound throughout the series, those choosing to do so could possibly win youth handler as well as respective hound of the year.
