KHA Feist Squirrel Dog of the Year 

• The winner of the Squirrel Dog of the Year will receive an embroidered jacket and possibly additional prizes for the series year. 

Points will be awarded when competing at squirrel events listed below.

The owner and handler must be a KHA member upon entry of their initial event to be eligible to gain points.

Dog must compete in and complete a minimum of two separate KHA squirrel events to be eligible for the award. A scratch or withdrawal will not be considered a completed event.

• May 2, 2026 Sun Valley Squirrel Hunters Crittenden, KY
• October 3, 2026 Paint Valley Squirrel Hunters Frankfort, OH
• November 7, 2026 UMFA Mountain Feist Day 
• December 5, 2026 UMFA TBD

Points are based off of cast wins. Each cast win equals 1 point.
  

Tie Breaker Rules in order as they will be applied if needed:

• Most events attended
• Most plus points
• Most circle points
• Least minus points
• Flip of coin  

Host clubs are responsible for conducting hunts per UKC guidelines. Each host club will pay $2 per dog to the KHA. This $2 fee will be paid for EVERY dog participating in the event.
